The Startup-20 Summit under India’s G-20 Presidency began on 3 July in Gurugram, Haryana.

• The two-day Startup-20 Summit is being hosted by the Startup-20 Engagement Group.
• Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash has said that education and awareness play an important role in developing a culturally sensitive startup ecosystem.

• The Startup-20 Engagement Group seeks to create a conducive business environment in the G-20 countries and support such talents from diverse backgrounds to commercialize, scale and innovate.
• G-20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant said that the total investment in start-ups in India has increased by 19 times.
• The startup movement was launched in 2016 and since then the number of startups has grown from one hundred to one lakh.

भारत की जी-20 अध्यक्षता के तहत स्टार्टअप-20 शिखर सम्मेलन 3 जुलाई को हरियाणा के गुरुग्राम में शुरू हुआ।

• दो दिवसीय स्टार्टअप-20 शिखर सम्मेलन की मेजबानी स्टार्टअप-20 एंगेजमेंट ग्रुप द्वारा की जा रही है।
• वाणिज्य और उद्योग राज्य मंत्री सोम प्रकाश ने कहा है कि सांस्कृतिक रूप से संवेदनशील स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम के विकास में शिक्षा और जागरूकता महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है।
• स्टार्टअप-20 एंगेजमेंट ग्रुप G-20 देशों में एक अनुकूल कारोबारी माहौल बनाने और विविध पृष्ठभूमि की ऐसी प्रतिभाओं को व्यावसायीकरण, बड़े पैमाने पर आगे बढ़ने और नवाचार करने के लिए समर्थन देने का प्रयास करता है।
• G-20 शेरपा अमिताभ कांत ने कहा कि भारत में स्टार्ट-अप में कुल निवेश 19 गुना बढ़ गया है।
• स्टार्टअप आंदोलन 2016 में शुरू किया गया था और तब से स्टार्टअप की संख्या एक सौ से बढ़कर एक लाख हो गई है।
• मजबूत बिजनेस मॉडल वाले अच्छे स्टार्टअप के लिए फंडिंग की कोई कमी नहीं है और स्टार्टअप को बाजार के रूप में केवल भारत को ही नहीं, बल्कि दुनिया को भी देखना चाहिए।
• शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान स्टार्टअप 20 विज्ञप्ति जारी की गई, जिसमें जी-20 नेताओं से 2030 तक वैश्विक स्टार्टअप पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र में संयुक्त निवेश को 1 ट्रिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर तक बढ़ाने का आग्रह किया गया।
• शिखर सम्मेलन में विभिन्न देशों के 600 हितधारक भाग ले रहे हैं। शिखर सम्मेलन में 16 जी20 देशों और 6 आमंत्रित देशों के 200 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतिनिधि भाग ले रहे हैं।
• स्टार्टअप20 शिखर सम्मेलन स्टार्टअप्स के लिए एक सक्षम वातावरण को बढ़ावा देने और नवाचार और उद्यमिता में एक वैश्विक नेता के रूप में अपनी स्थिति को मजबूत करने की भारत की प्रतिबद्धता का प्रतीक है।
• यह आर्थिक विकास, रोजगार सृजन और सामाजिक प्रगति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए स्टार्टअप की क्षमता को उजागर करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर के रूप में कार्य करता है।
