• ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री ने 101 वर्षीय सिख बुजुर्ग को पॉइंट्स ऑफ लाइट पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया ।
• ब्रिटिश प्रधानमंत्री ऋषि सुनक ने 10 डाउनिंग स्ट्रीट में यूके इंडिया वीक रिसेप्शन में द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध में लड़ने वाले अंतिम जीवित सिख सैनिकों में से एक , राजिंदर सिंह धट्ट को पॉइंट ऑफ़ लाइट सम्मान से सम्मानित किया है ।
• 101 वर्षीय धट्ट को उनकी सेवा और ब्रिटिश भारतीय युद्ध के दिग्गजों को एक साथ लाने में मदद करने के लिए अविभाजित भारतीय पूर्व सैनिक संघ चलाने के काम के लिए पहचाना गया था ।
• 1963 से दक्षिण – पश्चिम लंदन के हाउंस्लो में रहने वाले धट्ट का जन्म 1921 में विभाजन – पूर्व भारत में हुआ था और उन्होंने ब्रिटिश औपनिवेशिक काल के दौरान मित्र देशों की सेनाओं के साथ लड़ाई लड़ी थी ।
• द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान धट्ट ब्रिटिश भारतीय सेना में शामिल हुए और 1943 में हवलदार मेजर ( सार्जेंट मेजर ) के पद पर पदोन्नत होकर रैंकों में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया ।
