Israel to issue world’s first digital government bond
• The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) and Israel’s Ministry of Finance have completed the proof of concept phase for a digital Israeli bond traded on a dedicated blockchain platform.
• Vikas has appointed Israel to issue the world’s first digital government bond.
• The blockchain used for the event was EVM-compatible, enabling possible integration with other blockchain solutions in the future.

TASE announced on Tuesday that the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) and Israel’s Ministry of Finance have successfully completed the proof of concept phase for a digital Israeli bond that will be traded on a dedicated blockchain platform.

The Bank of Israel joined other major international banks, including Barclays, Deutsche Bank, First International Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch, as well as a go-live event at TASE on 31 May.

TASE ने कहा कि TASE और वित्त मंत्रालय के महालेखाकार कार्यालय के बीच सहयोग “पारंपरिक पूंजी बाजारों में निपटान और जारी करने की प्रक्रियाओं में क्रांति लाने में एक महत्वपूर्ण मील का पत्थर है।”
31 मई को TASE में एक गो-लाइव कार्यक्रम में बार्कलेज, ड्यूश बैंक, फर्स्ट इंटरनेशनल बैंक, गोल्डमैन सैक्स, जेपी मॉर्गन और मेरिल लिंच सहित अन्य प्रमुख अंतरराष्ट्रीय बैंकों के साथ-साथ इज़राइल के बैंक भी शामिल हुए।
