Union Government constitutes Committee to advise steps to purpose card payments
Current GK 0 CommentsThe Union Finance Ministry has establishment 11 members high-level committee to advise
steps to purpose card payments with an aim to detect cash transactions.Principle Adviser
for social sector in NITI Aayog and former Finance Secretary Ratan P Watal the 11-member
committee will be headed.
The high-level committee has been set up following a decision taken for promotion of
cashless payments (transactions) through cards and digital mean.
1.analyzing and applaud ways for leveraging Unique Identification Number (UID) or any
other identity for authentication of card and digital transactions.
2.As like Public Finance Management System, Bharatkosh, PayGov and eKuber, look into the
scope of integration of all government systems.
3.Gives the idea for payments system in the country and recommend measures for encouraging
digital payments.
