(1).M R Kumar has been appointed as the new Chairman of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).

(2).US Senate confirmed Indian-American Neomi Rao, who was under scrutiny for her past writings on sexual assault, as a judge on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, one of the most powerful benches in the country.

(3).Pakistan Air Force has announced successfully test-firing an indigenously developed “smart weapon” from a JF-17 Thunder fighter jet.

(5).The Reserve Bank said it will inject long-term liquidity worth USD 5 billion into the system through foreign exchange swap arrangement with banks for three years. 

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने कहा कि वह बैंकों के साथ तीन साल की विदेशी विनिमय अदला-बदली व्यवस्था के तहत बैंकिंग प्रणाली में पांच अरब डॉलर की दीर्घावधि की नकदी डालेगा।
